SUNRISE SERVICES INC is Hiring an EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST (Fast Track) Near Everett, WA

Join our Amazing Community Trades and Careers team as an Employment Specialist! Hiring for part-time!

General Responsibilities: Provide ongoing coordination and collaboration of Employment Services to include supporting clients with job search, applications, interview prep, building confidence around being ready to work and overcoming barriers to working. Work closely with Fast track study team and collaborate to meet client goals, build relationships in the community and assist with all aspects of finding or maintaining employment. Collaborate both in and outside the organization for purposes of employment, coordination with DSHS on assigned caseload including documentation of the same.

Essential Functions: (Tasks, Responsibilities, and Competencies. May not include all duties of this job.

  • Assists and advocates for the client in the following areas:
  • Provides outreach services as necessary to participants when they appear to disengage from the service. Uses a variety of methods to provide outreach.
  • Provides outreach to stakeholders such as TANF and SNAP workers to communicate and make sure that services are coordinated on behalf of participants. Guides and coordinates care between the IPS employment specialist and various other service providers. This includes coordinating with TANF to make sure that participants are properly documenting their hours.
  • Provide and deliver all areas of Fast track team study to include supporting members of the team where needed and participating in community outreach events as needed.
  • Assist clients with overcoming other barriers to employment which can include assisting with obtaining a driver's license, building self-confidence, and other elements.
  • Perform all aspects of employment services including job developing, attending interviews with client if needed on the job support if needed, and applying for jobs.
  • Ethnic/Cultural support: Assist clients as needed to connect to these supports and seek required and/or appropriate consultation for minority populations.
  • Financial needs: Collaborate with team , direct and assist clients in obtaining other needs that may be directly impacting employment
  • Completes all required documentation in a timely and thorough manner consistent with approved practices, policies and procedure, same day or within 24 hours.
  • Provide timely and accurate compliance all required and appropriate charting and coding as required by the regulatory organization (Medicare, NSMHA, etc.).
  • Attend all training required by Sunrise.
  • Maintain all on-going licensing and certification requirements for this position and supply Sunrise proof of the same.
  • Develop expertise in person centered planning to help clients meet their goals where they are.
  • Communicate with consumers and family members to obtain information regarding consumer’s needs and objectives, interests, skills, and support systems if client wants this.
  • Develop consumer-focused, goal-oriented treatment plans, which address the specific needs of the consumer.
  • Evaluate treatment effectiveness and revise care plans regularly.
  • Maintain customer records in keeping with agency, county, North Sound Mental Health Administration (NSMHA) and state guidelines
  • Act as a backup for other team members.
  • Prompt response to client needs.
  • Support and encourage strength based recovery model.
  • Utilize clinical supervision for clarification of questions and concerns, support, understanding role expectations, feedback and accountability.
  • In addition to the above, any other responsibilities appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in this job description or tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Requirements: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

Education: Bachelor's preferred.

Experience: Customer service experience working in all sectors and outreach experience is preferred

Licensure/Certification: Must have or be willing to obtain AAC and NPI prior to first day of employment

Other Considerations:

  • DSHS background clearance required.
  • Current valid Washington State driver’s license.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to ensure and deliver client care and provide a legal record of the care. Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work with difficult clients. Demonstrated respect for diversity. Demonstrated commitment to developing multicultural competency and sensitivity. Displays positive communication skills when involved in problem solving or disputes with other individuals or in groups of Skills and competence to establish supportive, trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses

Compensation:

  • $21 - $22/hour (wages depend on applicable experience)
  • Part-time: 20 hours
