Position Summary

Sunnyside Gardens landscape maintenance strives to provide the highest level of professional gardening and custom potting services. We will build relationships and provide unmatched customer service. Position Duties

• Continually promote excellent customer service, quality, and professionalism.

• Responsible for following through with maintenance client leads, project estimating and sales. Accurately and truthfully sell Sunnyside maintenance services.

• Perform sale profitability checks on all completed jobs.

• Write work orders, delegate projects to Maintenance crews and follow up with projects.

• Continually coach, train and manage Maintenance department personnel of all levels.

• Communicate with co-workers and management in a clear and timely manner. Communicate and implement improvements in procedures to General Manager.

• Properly maintain department tools, software, and inventory.

• Work in the field as needed. Work in the store for Garden Center events.

• Attend all meetings as needed.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience Required

• Three (3) years of gardening experience required.

• Two (2) years of service sales experience required.

• High School Diploma Required. Graduate degree preferred.

• Working knowledge of technology basics required.

Skills Required

• Must display good communication, organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

• Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and have strong math skills.

• Must be friendly, possess a team mentality, and the ability to build rapport.

• Must have the ability to perform physical labor, accept and adapt to change, be able to work in a fast paced environment independently.

• Must be able and willing to work overtime. Additional hours may be needed in peak seasons.

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

Physical and Mental Demands

Requires sitting (40%-50%), standing and walking. Requires reaching and occasional climbing while assisting customers. Requires ability to push and pull wheeled carts with nursery products. This position requires ability to operate computer and a point-of-sale register along with excellent manual dexterity and visual skills. Must be able to work in and around high UV light, wet or humid conditions, fumes, heat, cold, chemicals and high levels of noise. Requires ability to communicate clearly. Requires the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
