Marketing Graphic Designer
Annual Salary Range: $35,000-$38,000

POSITION SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer/Marketing Coordinator will provide graphic design and project management support to SunMed’s Marketing Communications team. Graphic design, file management, Photoshopping, photography, videography, and motion graphic experience with a variety of creative platforms is critical. This individual will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be highly organized, be hyper-focused on team coordination and deadlines, and be flexible to meet the evolving needs of our organization. Candidates must be comfortable with coordinating trade shows including designing of booths, layout, pre-show planning, management of attendees and supplies, and post-show reporting.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

The specific minimum competencies needed to perform the essential duties of the job include knowledge, skills, abilities, level of education, and experience necessary for successful performance. These competencies are generally demonstrated through specific service, education, or training.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The candidate will be exemplary in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects. Videography, filming and production skills are strongly encouraged. Strong MS Office and project management platform experience preferred. Print production, trade show, website maintenance, and social media experience is a plus. Strong understanding of English language.

EDUCATION

  • 3-5 years in graphic design and marketing coordination.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related; or comparable experience.

TRAVEL

  • Minimal for trade show support or national SunMed meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.

  • Setting category strategies and ensuring enterprise-wide alignment / understanding of those strategies

  • Being a clinical/technical product expert capable of training/assisting the sales team, engaging customers, etc.

  • Understanding and staying current on customer requirements and the competitive landscape

  • Driving achievement of annual revenue & gross profit goals in partnership with our Sales team

  • Effectively managing the growth / profitability of the categories through volume growth, maximizing price, promoting the right products, and managing cost well

  • Managing product life cycles from the introduction of new products to discontinuation (“cradle to grave”)

  • Creating pricing guidance for contract and non-contract environments across the continuum of care

  • Managing the positioning and promotion of our products in partnership with our Marketing Communications team to include labeling, collateral, advertising, trade shows, social media, etc.

  • Conducting market/customer research as needed to support product development and effective product positioning

  • Partnering with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, QRA, etc. on cross functional projects

  • Trade Show Support: Design of trade show booth and equipment, Registration and pre-show preparation, Coordination of shipping, Management and communication to attendees, Trade Show material inventory management, Post-show surveying, and Maintain inventory catalog of trade show booth equipment 

  • Provide creative support for: Marketing material production, Photography and inventory control of image library, Website content and assets, Video editing and motion graphics, Catalog design, Internal communication initiatives, Management of asset inventory – files and photography, Maintains and drives project plans, keeping team on track, and internal department design support – Ops, HR, Quality, etc.
