Sunflower Insurance Solutions is Hiring a VP of Sales Near Kansas, KS

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate designs and implements effective marketing strategies to sell insurance contracts. They reach out to potential clients, establish rapport, and understand their requirements. They offer suitable insurance plans based on the clients’ needs and collect information to provide the best solutions. They also prepare reports on business performance, maintain records, and ensure compliance with company policies. Ultimately, their goal is to acquire new clients, build strong relationships, and contribute to the growth of the insurance business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct warm and cold sales calls to leads and prospects for the purpose of identifying Medicare supplemental needs
  • Conduct Medicare 101 client webinars and presentations to help spur interest from leads
  • Analyze and educate participating clients on Medicare plan options, which may include ancillary products
  • Create, track and manage sales follow up process for prospective client sales
  • Enroll and guide clients through the application process
  • Regularly follow up with carriers on pending applications and any outstanding issues
  • Attend educational events to further education of products and sales techniques
  • Stay current on compliance and product knowledge in order to make the best product recommendations for each client

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience related to Insurance Sales, emphasis on Medicare sales would be ideal
  • Previous phone sales experience working with cold and warm leads
  • Strong understanding of various Medicare plans: Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage, Part D and Ancillary products
  • Well versed in the carrier’s portal, Quoting Tool software and enrollment platforms
  • Confident, professional and articulate in written and verbal communication

Skills and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales or Marketing
  • Previous professional experience building sales or service call center programs

Work Location

  • Remote/hybrid schedules are subject to change and based on performance/ business needs.
  • Employee’s primary office location is would be a work from home setting, could change based on business needs.
  • Employees may be required to work out of designated office locations for meetings, collaborations and/or in connection with their duties on a temporary/ semi-permanent/ permanent basis.

Hours/ Travel

  • Work occasional evenings and weekends and attending events may be required.
  • This job may require occasional travel outside of the local area and overnight stays.
