Job Title: FOUNDRY GRILL SUPERVISOR
Department: F&B
Reports To: Foundry Grill Manager
Rate of Pay: $20.00 DOE
Shift: Part Time, Year Round Position
Variable shifts Monday through Sunday
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
SUMMARY
Lead a professional service team in providing exceptional service to our guests by exhibiting remarkable personal and professional service skills with guests and employees alike. Continually provides up-to-date training and uses positive and proficient leadership skills to supervise and motivate staff, creating a casual and professional environment. To oversee and direct all aspects of dining room operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Possess exceptional understanding of fine dining service standards.
Exhibit exceptional job and product knowledge to provide staff and guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, wine, service, and resort information.
Ensure all staff are in complete designated wrinkle free uniform and name tags.
Ensure all staff maintain a neat and clean appearance.
Ensure proper sequence of service for all dining guests
Ensure that the restaurant is clean and organized at all times with side work and cleaning schedules complete.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of restaurant and effective operations such as table set-ups, flowers, decorations, lighting.
Oversee and assist in the set-up, confirmation and organization of restaurant reservations.
Assists in scheduling, hiring, firing, training, and managing of front of the house employees.
Responsible for costs, regulates sales and labor, and maintains profitability standards in the absence of the restaurant manager.
Provide a learning and exceptional service environment through daily training.
Order supplies, inventories, and ensures restaurant supplies are at adequate levels for service.
Work closely with restaurant manager and chefs on menus, food concepts, wine lists, and guest feed back.
Exhibit exceptional job and product knowledge to provide guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, wine, service, and resort information.
Assist in planning and conducting daily pre-meal meetings and trainings.
Exhibit self-confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner.
Exhibit a positive attitude when speaking about guests, fellow employees and management.
Personally greet and/or seats 80 % of all guests on a daily basis. Supervisor's floor presence will be expected during peak times to keep specified percentages.
Take ownership and is responsible for all aspects of Foundry Grill restaurant operations and service standards during shift.
Knowledge and compliance of Utah liquor laws.

Be an ambassador of Sundance inside and outside of work.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in the absence of manager in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Complete all applicable paperwork for the above responsibilities and submit to HR in a timely manner.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position: minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.

DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest's impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest's expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:
All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
All employees are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays )
Blue jeans are permitted.
Men's shirts must be tucked in.
Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing.
Tank tops, halter tops tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Closed Toed Dress sandals are permitted for females.
Flip flops are prohibited in all areas.
No skate shoes, tennis shoes or casual sneakers are allowed
No T-shirts are allowed
No shorts are allowed

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training in a supervisory position in a full service restaurant; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLSComputer efficiency in Windows, Word, WordPerfect, Excel, internet navigation, electronic mail, and point of sale system.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or obtain a current food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
Must have or obtain a current alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
