Suncoast Credit Union is Hiring an EFT Representative Near Tampa, FL


Overview

Pay Transparency: $18.00 - $24.00 based on experience and credentials

Location Type: Hybrid a flexible work model blending in-office and remote working

Position Type: Full Time 

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM 

The EFT Representative conducts administrative tasks to support one of the following functions: direct deposit, ACH services, wire services or check services at Suncoast Credit Union. Key responsibilities include payroll deductions for deposits and loan payments, ACH debits and credits, ACH origination for employer payroll groups, automatic transfers among member accounts, incoming/outgoing and international wires, lockbox, ATM, transit, RDC, or in-clearings and returns.An ideal candidate is a problem-solver with keen communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist members and staff with completing forms needed to create ACH transactions and audits forms for accuracy
  • Process ACH files from the Federal Reserve on a daily basis
  • Ensure file totals are correct and balance
  • Process exceptions, such as stop payment requests and incorrect account numbers
  • Research and correct rejected transactions and non-posted items
  • Create and send return files to the Federal Reserve
  • Research and resolve member disputes regarding unauthorized ACH transactions
  • Block accounts and return payments for deceased members
  • Process payroll deduction files from School Board payroll groups
  • Post payroll deduction amounts and input correct distributions of funds
  • Research and correct problems and errors
  • Set up payroll direct deposit for School Board payroll groups for which Suncoast will be the ACH originator
  • Create payroll group schedules and process direct deposit NACHA files for payroll groups
  • Assist members and staff with completing payroll deduction forms, audits forms for accuracy, and sends forms to appropriate payroll groups
  • Verify that automatic internal transfers have posted
  • Record totals and processes exception reports, correcting transaction errors
  • Assist members and staff with all requirements to send and receive wires
  • Process incoming wires and outgoing domestic and international wires, including disputes and approvals
  • Process all in-house mortgage wires
  • Scrub Wires for OFAC and ensure compliance
  • Monitor wire process for fraudulent activity or scams
  • Process lockbox, in-clearings, returns, and transit processing for members
  • Assist with transmitting files to Core Services to update member accounts
  • Assist with transmitting Image Exchange files with Image partners
  • Adhere to all processing and correction procedures to ensure that work balances and item processing operations proceed smoothly
  • Attend job-specific training classes as requested by manager
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 years of experience with ACH, payroll, wire processing, item processing, or similar position
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
  • Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
  • Ability to communicate information requiring explanation or interpretation
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
