Job Summary
The HR Assistant will provide research, administrative and technical assistance in the areas of benefits, payroll, compliance, employee relations, communication, labor relations, recruitment, on-boarding, training, and workforce management.
Essential Responsibilities

Assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR Department
Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans.
Reviews benefits with employee and processes enrollment, cancellation, or changes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
Reports, maintains, and monitors all workers' compensation case file; follows up on open cases.
Assist with the recruiting and on-boarding process.
ATS Knowledge preferred.
Liaise with employees, supervisors, managers, co-workers in problem resolution.
Acts as an employee relations specialist
Assist in the development of HR processes, policies, and systems.
Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; Periodically audits Forms I-9
Reports, maintains, and monitors all workers' compensation case file; follows up on open cases.
Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner.
Maintains employee data in the payroll system for both new and existing employees.
Provide operations support on issues such as talent and performance management and employment law.
Assist in planning and coordinating special events and recognition programs for employees.
