Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking dedicated Community Health Registered Nurses (RNs) to support the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) in their measles vaccination campaign. This role entails assisting the Immunization Program with vaccine administration on weekdays, from 8:00am to 4:00pm, for a 16-week contract period. The position offers a guaranteed 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments prior to vaccine administration.
• Deliver MMR vaccine adhering to CDPH guidelines and protocols.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment in accordance with CDPH policies and OSHA regulations.
• Execute Medical Standing Orders and respond to emergencies as necessary.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
• Two years of relevant experience in ambulatory care nursing or similar settings.
• Current CPR certification and up-to-date vaccination status.
• Previous experience in immunizations and vaccine-preventable diseases preferred.
• Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements:

• Possession of a valid State of Illinois drivers license is preferred.
• Candidates with a Bachelors degree, eligible for licensure, may be considered, but must obtain their license within six months of employment.
