Sunbelt Staffing is currently recruiting for the position of Public Health Immunization Nurse to support the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) in their measles vaccination campaign. This role involves assisting the Immunization Program with vaccine administration on weekdays, from 8:00am to 4:00pm, for a 16-week contract period. Nurses will work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to vaccine administration.
• Administer MMR vaccine following CDPH protocols and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with CDPH policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Execute Medical Standing Orders and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience in ambulatory care nursing or related field.
• Current BLS certification and up-to-date vaccination status.
• Previous experience in immunizations and vaccine-preventable diseases preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Possession of a valid State of Illinois drivers license is preferred.
• Candidates with a Bachelors degree, eligible for licensure, may be considered, but must obtain their license within six months of employment.
