Procurement Coordinator

We are looking for Procurement Coordinator with a minimum of three years relevant experience to handle the procurement of medical equipment for the company’s customers. This requires visiting hospitals in New York Metropolitan Area to liaise with various department directors, project managers, and supply chain personnel to carry out the job responsibilities. The applicant must be a resident of one of these New York City Burroughs: Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, or Manhattan.

Responsibilities

• Contact manufacturers and vendors to obtain quotes for the medical equipment as per information provided by the manager.
• Prepare and distribute procurement request forms to key personnel at the hospitals and obtain approval signatures from them.
• Prepare final procurement package and forward to the hospital’s supply chain department to have purchase orders issued.
• Forward Purchase Orders to vendors along with delivery instructions
• Coordinate with the hospital’s receiving and biomedical engineering departments regarding delivery and receipt of equipment.
• Generate procurement reports as needed.

Skills

• Good people skills
• Ability to use Microsoft applications like Word and Excel to generate simple reports and memos.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Procurement & logistics: 3 years (Preferred)
• Healthcare: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• New York, NY: Relocate before starting work (Required)
