Essential Job Duties
1.Assesses functional levels and capabilities of residents for swallowing and speech.
2.Conducts ongoing assessments of resident’s ability to swallow, speak and hear and makes recommendations related to resident therapy treatments.
3.Provides speech therapy treatments by following the resident plan of care.
4.Develops goals which are measurable and realistic, based on resident’s care plan.
5.Participates in the discharge planning process for residents.
