The opportunity:

Sun Life U.S. Group Employee Benefits is seeking an experienced Sr. Consultant Supplemental Health Product Management to join our dynamic team leading one of the fastest growing supplemental health businesses in the market. This pivotal role demands operating at both strategic and tactical levels to drive growth and innovation within the supplemental health sector of our employee benefits portfolio. The ideal candidate will be adept at empathizing with customers, understanding their needs, and translating these insights into compelling product strategies. This role is an individual contributor with potential for advancement.

How you will contribute:

  • Strategic Insight and Leadership: Operate at a strategic level to establish a product roadmap for the shared organization, aligning product strategies with overall business goals and objectives.

  • Customer Empathy: Deeply empathize with our customers to understand their needs, challenges, and desired outcomes. Use these insights to shape product offerings that truly resonate.

  • Market Analysis: Identify emerging market opportunities and trends within the supplemental health and employee benefits landscape to inform product development and positioning.

  • Prioritization: Determine and prioritize investments in product development to ensure the highest return on investment, aligning resources with the most impactful initiatives.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, legal, claims and customer support teams to ensure product strategies are effectively communicated and executed.

  • Detailed oriented: Ability to interpret in depth contract details and understand the impact on risk, claims and the Client experience.

  • Performance Measurement: Analyze product performance against key metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet or exceed business objectives.

What you will bring with you:

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people

  • Demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems with insightful solutions.

  • Proficient in deep quantitative analysis to support decision-making and strategy formulation.

  • Superior execution skills, coupled with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to influence up, down, and across the organization, driving alignment and action towards shared goals.

  • 7 years prior experience in product management, supplemental health or group employee benefits is highly desirable.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Management, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is:

  • Southern region: $97,700 - $146,600 annually

  • Central region: $103,000 - $154,500 annually

  • Northern region: $110,100 - $165,200 annually

If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $86,00 - $129,000 annually

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $110,100 - $165,200 annually.

If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $103,000 - $154,500 annually.

We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for incentive awards based on individual and business performance as well as a broad range of competitive benefits.
