Description

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:

To provide real-world experience to undergraduate degree students on a medical-related track. Providing hands-on experience in primary care medicine in a Community Healthcare Clinic environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Gain knowledge in all aspects of preventative care medicine practice.
2. Assist medical staff with requested duties (under allowed conditions).
3. Travel throughout Pinal County.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

Prepare a presentation summarizing key information the student has learned during the internship. Explain how they will use the experience in their education and future career. Discuss how their understanding of family medicine and Community Healthcare has been expanded through the internship and if they would consider a career in family medicine. Optional: Identify a process they observed that could be improved and make a recommendation on how it might be changed.

• Undergraduate student completing a degree in pre-med or related fields.
