Job Shift: 8:00am-5:00pm M-F; 8:00am-12:30pm Sat

Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinator will travel to outlying sites for training and troubleshooting workflow issues.
  • Trainer will travel to outlying sites for training and troubleshooting workflow issues.
  • Serve as trainer to new hires, providing in-depth training for all new medical assistants in group setting or one-on-one.
  • Conduct refreshers monthly or as needed.
  • Collaborate with Practice Managers and Assistant Practice Managers.
  • Monitor training personnel records regarding competency checklist to ensure that new hire has met all training requirements.
  • Collaborates with Quality Management to ensure training is current with changes in regulatory standards.
  • Maintain Weekly Training Schedule. Will coordinate with Human Resources, Clinic Managers, IT, and Director of Education.
  • Responsible for sending out training material such as competency checklist information to participants.
  • Responsible for monthly MA In-services; planning, organizing and distribution.
  • Ensures that training material is updated with current and changing SLH policy. SOP’s and standards of care.
  • Assists in creating training support materials, media, and validation tools.
  • Hands on and/or virtual training with employee for designated time
  • Discuss and demonstrate location and utilization of Procedure Manuals and Logs
  • Discuss, demonstrate, and observe medication administration, oxygen set-up, Hoyer lift use, autoclave when appropriate, and waived laboratory testing.
  • Discuss, demonstrate, and observe workplace safety, personal/patient safety, and infection control.
  • Communicates effectively and efficiently with employee, providers, and staff.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and troubleshoot workflow issues as needed.
  • Trainer will attend meetings, provide feedback, and make necessary adjustments to training.
  • Trainer will participate in continuing education to stay up to date on best practices.

  • Adhere to expectations of required/mandatory in-services and certifications

Qualifications


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have active certification CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), or RMA
  • Have at least 3 years experience practicing as a clinical medical assistant
  • Previous teaching experience preferred
  • Experience in Learning Development and use of training tools
  • Experience in Family Practice and OB/GYN. Additional experience in Pediatrics preferred
  • Certified in Phlebotomy preferred
  • Team Lead experience preferred
