Job Title: Kitchen Cashier

Job Type: Part Time, Hourly

Purpose: This position is to execute front of house sales for the kitchen.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Take orders and serve patrons food and beverages, maintaining a high level of customer service
• Inform customers of daily specials and answer questions as needed from customers
• Understand and process orders and payments on our POS system
• Maintain working knowledge of each menu item, including basic ingredients, preparation and potential allergens
• Know and understand the fundamentals of food service
• Work as a team with other staff to ensure a smooth and successful working environment
• Immediately report any guest concern to the manager on duty
• Complete all necessary side work for each shift as determined by your manger
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Strong customer service skills and friendly personality
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to remain calm under pressure or when dealing with disgruntled customers
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with managers, and dining room personnel at all times
• Ability to be a strong team player and get along well with co-workers
• Be physically able to lift, reach, bend, stoop, use hands lift up to 40 pounds regularly
• Must be available to work nights, weekends and holiday

Education/Training/Experience:

• At least 1 year restaurant serving experience preferred
• Prior customer service experience

Kitchen manager or manager on duty

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
