Job Location: Consolation Crisis House - Shingle Springs, CA
Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 Salary/year

Description

Summary

Coordinates variety of activities for residents of the crisis home, or similar establishment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Orders supplies and determines need for maintenance, repairs, and furnishings.

Assigns rooms, assists in planning recreational activities, and supervises vocational programs.

Counsels residents in identifying and resolving social or other problems.

Compiles records of daily activities of residents.

Chaperons group-sponsored trips and social functions.

Ascertains need for and secures services.

Escorts individuals on trips outside establishment for shopping or to obtain medical or dental services.

Plans menus.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages four subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of fifteen employees in the Crisis House. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
