Our growing company is in need of Chemical Dependency Counselor. A CDC helps people who have substance use disorders get treatment. They’re experts on the ins and outs of addiction and develop tailored treatment plans based on your specific addiction, needs and goals.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for individuals with chemical dependency issues- Provide behavioral health counseling to individuals- Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychotherapy- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans- Provide direct support and guidance to individuals coping with addictions- Implement applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behavior change- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment plans
- Certification or licensure as a Chemical Dependency Counselor (CDC) *REQUIRED
- Experience working with individuals with substance abuse is a plus
- Knowledge of behavioral health counseling techniques and interventions
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Understanding of the principles of applied behavior analysis and its application in counseling settings
