Summit Café services guests of Summit Ropes and the surrounding commuter market during breakfast and lunch hours. The Café Associate/Barista is responsible for welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments. Addressing customer needs quickly and accurately with friendly service. Preparing foods, such as pizza or baked goods, grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, preparing smoothies and frozen coffee drinks and serving items to customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Greet customers entering the store, take food and drink orders, checking out customers.
• Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
• Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee been supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; restocking coolers, freezers and display racks.
• Prepares food and coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as; espresso, mocha, cafe latte and cappuccino.
• Opening and closing tasks.
• Cleaning sitting and café areas.
