Summit Physician Group, LLP is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Tuscaloosa, AL

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist with great knowledge of insurance plans.
A Medical Receptionist is responsible for performing front office functions relating to the in-take and check out of patients in the clinic setting.
Understanding of diversified insurance plans. Knowledge of medical terminology, attention to details, ability to perform basic math operations.

Responsibilities: Check in and check out patients, collect payment.

Answer phone calls and distribute messages between office staff, coordination and distribution of office documentation - faxes, referrals, home health orders, FMLA etc.

Schedule appointments. Verify insurances (copay/deductible). Collect payments(copay, coinsurance, balance).

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
