Parts Room Clerk

Location: Denison, TX

SUMMARY

RK Hall is seeking a qualified Parts Room Clerk. This position will reside in the Denison, Texas area. The position of Parts Room Clerk will be instrumental in maintaining the parts room and any requests made. This position requires management resources to adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures and comply with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA, TCEQ, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to the Shop Manager to receive daily activities and schedule.
• Pick up parts as needed.
• Help in receiving and stocking all parts and cores for return.
• Help in shop general housekeeping.
• Maintain shop grounds (Front and rear of shop kept clear of trash and used parts).
• Recycled metals and cores are put in the proper locations.
• Help keep shop trash cans empty and daily cleaning of restrooms, lunchroom, and locker room.
• Restock restroom supplies.
• Inspect and report all shop lighting and equipment if it is malfunctioning.
• Perform weekly shop pickup/vehicle inspections. Report any issues.
• Inspect the forklift daily before use and report any issues.
• Daily inspections of all fresh oil tank levels in the oil room.
• Daily inspection of all waste oil and waste coolant tanks. Check waste filter and oily rags drums and report if needed pickup by the recycler. Check the used brake shoe basket and report if pick-up is needed.
• Help in cleaning and maintaining the back warehouse and other duties that may arise.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred—minimum two years of related experience.
