Summit Endodontics is seeking a qualified individual to fill a part-time Licensed Dental Assistant position for a single doctor practice. Primary duties include setting up operatories for treatment, assisting the doctor chairside, patient charting, sterilization and room clean up. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of basic principles of infection control, knowledge of endodontics and root canal therapy, and will make the patient feel comfortable and welcome during their appointment. Must be organized, multi-task oriented, a quick learner, and possess a positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities Include:

• Seating patients and taking vitals
• Taking radiographs (must be certified)
• Assist the dentist chairside with proper delivery of instruments and dental materials
• Stocking supplies and replenishment of treatment areas
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and instruments
• Complying with sterilization and infection control protocols

Criteria:

• Must be licensed or eligibility for licensure in SD and graduation from an accredited or board approved Dental Assisting Program, OR successful completion of the Dental Assisting National Board Exam (DANB)
• Must have radiology certification
• Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to effectively multi-task.
• Must have attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time, 3 days a week, scheduled days/time are negotiable

Pay: $20-$25 per hour based on experience
