Summit Design Build is seeking motivated project engineers who desire an exciting and challenging environment to join our growing team.

Our Project Engineers provide direct support to project management and field supervision staff and assist with the overall direction, safety, completion, and financial outcome of the project from initial budget through project completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

• Performing a thorough review of plans and specifications
• Developing and managing the bidders list for proper bid coverage
• Creating and reviewing subcontractor scope sheets
• Preparing cost estimates and drawing take offs
• Assisting in writing contracts
• Developing and maintaining project schedules and updates
• Managing meeting minutes and company logs
• Timely management of RFIs and Submittals
• Reporting project costs accurately
• Handling change requests, orders, and commitment changes
• Completing pay applications with accuracy and timeliness
• Assisting with punch lists and project punchouts
• Assisting with final testing & inspection sign offs
• Coordinating owner/MEP walkthroughs
• Obtaining project completion certificates
• Assisting in closeout package compilation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field
• 3 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite – Outlook and Project
• Previous experience with On Screen Takeoff, Sage CRE 300 (Timberline Project Management), Procore and Bluebeam or similar software preferred.
