Summit County Mountain Retreats is Hiring a Housekeeping Inspector Near Keystone, CO

Summit County Mountain Retreats is searching for new team members to join our property inspector team. As a property inspector, you help ensure we are providing Best-in-Class housekeeping and property management service to our guests and owners. A property inspector is also expected to work independently while effectively communicating with other team members when necessary. A majority of your time in this position will be spent out of the office. This gives you the unique opportunity to spend time in Summit County’s premier condos, townhomes, mountain homes, and the unbelievable views they all offer. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

A Housekeeping Inspector performs pre-arrival property inspections to ensure that company standards are routinely met or exceeded by our housekeeping/maintenance teams. Each morning, you are assigned a list of rentals that will need to be inspected that day. Upon your arrival to each rental, you will use the inspection checklist as a guide to ensure the property has been cleaned properly, fully stocked with fresh amenities, and is in perfect condition for the next guest. Minor touch-ups are easily fixed by utilizing a small bag of supplies provided to you, while larger or more serious issues should be reported to our maintenance or housekeeping teams for further evaluation. Additionally, each of our inspectors are expected to be the acting supervisor of a select number of housekeepers and will be responsible for coordinating transportation for any non-driving housekeepers to their daily assignments, routinely following up with assigned housekeepers, and tracking their overall performance by submitting daily quality control reports. Additional duties may include assisting with owner/guest deliveries and pickups, as well as assisting other departments with a variety of minor tasks. 

Staff members are NOT required to use their own vehicles. Company vehicles are available to all employees who are able to meet acceptable driving standards.

COMPENSATION

  • $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience

SCHEDULE

  • Full-time 
  • 8 hour shifts
    • Beginning between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM
    • Ending between 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM
  • Weekends and holidays required

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspects vacation rentals prior to check-in
  • Accurately documents and reports any issues relating to cleanliness, stock, or maintenance.
  • Supervises a small group of housekeepers on a daily basis to ensure company standards are being met; follows up and tracks performance as needed.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with our housekeeping team members
  • Delivers items requested by guests and/or homeowners to rentals
  • Assists with and coordinates the transportation of housekeeping teams to-and-from their daily assignments
  • Assists with minor maintenance and housekeeping tasks as needed
  • Reports irregularities or issues to management in a timely manner
  • Assists with off-season projects

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have local housing (Required)
  • Valid US driver's license (Required) 
  • Able to communicate in Spanish at an intermediate level (Required)
  • Able to communicate in English (Preferred)
  • No prior housekeeping or inspecting experience is required, but it is preferred

SKILLS

  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable communicating in Spanish
  • Comfortable driving in poor conditions and high traffic areas
  • Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision
  • Basic understanding of smartphones, tablets, and computers
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods of time 
  • Comfortable supervising small group of 8-12 housekeeping employees
