Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Here at Summit Building Services, Inc. we are looking for a Janitor, or custodian, to take care of our buildings and carry out cleaning, maintenance and security duties. The goal is to keep our buildings in a clean and orderly condition.
General Job Description:
Daily: Office Areas
(1) Sufficiently maintain the interior tenant spaces, remove all visible dust, dirt, litter, grime, stains, smears, finger marks, etc., to a reasonable and practical degree.
(2) Empty and clean all trash containers, and dispose of all trash and rubbish, replace
liners.
(3) Clean and maintain in a sanitary and odor-free condition all floors, wash mirrors, basins, toilet bowls, and urinals.(4) Furnish and replenish all toilet room supplies (including soap, towels, seat covers, toilet tissue, and sanitary napkins).
(5) Sweep or dust mop all hard surface floors, and carpet sweep (or vacuum) all high-traffic carpeted areas, including stairways and halls. Offices or breakrooms with hard surfaces floors and the public lobby area shall be damp-mopped daily
(6) Remove finger marks and smudges from all glass entrance doors.
(7) Specifically check, and if action is need then:
a. Dust the tops of all furniture, counters, cabinets, and windowsills, (which are free of interfering objects).
b. Remove spots and/or spills from the carpets, floors, and stairways.
As needed, but not less frequently than twice Weekly:
(1) Damp mop all hard surface floors.
(2) Dust all window blinds. - Monthly
(3) Treat stainless steel fountains and sinks to eliminate stains and mineral deposits.
(4) Spot clean the walls.
(5) Sweep parking areas and sidewalks.
(6) Vacuum all carpets.
Common Area - (Per Visit)
1. Remove all cobwebs from lobby entrances. (both interior/exterior)
2. Clean entrance door glass where applicable and remove marks from door frames.
3. Remove debris from building exterior entry.
4. Perform dusting of walls, doors, sashes, molding, etc.
5. Clean exterior walkways as needed.
6. Clean elevator push plates, interior of cab, doors and tracks.
7. Stairwell: treads, riser, railings.
8. Vacuum carpets; dust and damp mop any hard surface floors. Clean all thresholds.
9. Relocate all trash/debris to designated refuse area.
Common area Restroom - (Daily)
1. Empty and clean all waste containers and replace liners, as needed.
2. Restock all restrooms with supplies, including paper towels, toilet tissue, seat covers and hand soap (supplied by Property Management).
3. Wash and polish all mirrors, dispensers, faucets, shelves, enameled surfaces, piping, toilet seat hinges, etc., and bright work with disinfectant cleaner.
5. Wash and sanitize all toilets, toilet seats (including underside), and urinals sinks, with non-scratch disinfectant cleaner.
6. Sinks, toilet bowls, and urinals are to be kept free of scale and stains.
7. Wipe down walls around urinals.
8. Empty and sanitize all sanitary napkin disposal units.
9. Spot clean fingerprints, marks and graffiti from walls partitions, glass, and aluminum and light switch plates.
10. Dust all ledges and partitions.
11. Remove waste paper and refuse to designate area.
12. Sweep and wet mop all restroom floors with disinfectant germicidal solution
