Succeeding in your CNA role involves excelling in tasks such as:

  • Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
  • Aid in rehabilitative activities, personal hygiene, and physical comfort.
  • Monitor and report any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing staff.
  • Set up medical equipment, move patients, and ensure rooms are clean and well stocked.
  • Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and patient records.

Prospective candidates must meet these specified qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a minimum of one year of experience in a long-term care facility or hospital setting.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Provide two professional references.
  • Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Be willing to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
