Summa Health is Hiring a Medical Office Associate - Dental Near Akron, OH

Shift: Days/Monday-Friday
Status: Full Time/40hr week
Location: Akron Campus Center for Dental Health

Summary:
Provides support in a dental office to include scheduling patient appointments, functioning as receptionist to patients and visitors, answering telephone calls, registering patients with demographic and billing information, prepares dental record charts and coordinates patient care activities relating to treatment in the Center for Dental Health.
Minimum Qualifications
Formal Education Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience & Training Required
  • Computer skills, including typing, and knowledge of basic computer programs required. (Microsoft applications)
  • Knowledge of medical/dental terminology.
  • Dental software program knowledge preferred.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in interpersonal communication to effectively interact in person and over the telephone with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel.
  • Good organizational and prioritization stills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a work team environment and assume responsibility for individual contributions.
  • Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
  • Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
$15.91/hr - $19.09/hr

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
