Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Job Description: Design, develop, implement, and deliver high-quality products to digital bank customers. Make improvements in engineering velocity, scalability, and trust as a whole through culture and process improvements. Develop testable, scalable, trustworthy systems that eliminate manual tasks from the financial industry. Drive performance, scalability and resiliency through Manufacturers Bank's products and into the DNA of the organization overall. Apply modern best practices in designs and implementations. Write code and automated test scripts. Develop enterprise grade API s (REST, gRPC) to advance the digital transformation journey. Be responsible for product envisioning, analyzing detailed design, developing and coding, and testing and implementing software components. Telecommuting permitted from any location in the U.S.

Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate software development or related IT experience in designing and implementing APIs, including experience in writing business and technical requirements; and writing codes and automated test scripts.

*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Experience in Java design patterns and architectures; 2) Experience working with cloud technologies; 3) Experience with open source technologies including Spring Boot, Tomcat, Cloud Foundry, Restful, Kafka, Oracle and SQL Server; 4) Experience with testing tools including SOAP UI, PostMan, DevTest and JMeter; 5) Experience working in the finance industry; and 6) Knowledge of banking and securities domain
