Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team. As a Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine property boundaries, collect data, and create accurate maps and reports. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various surveying tools and software, such as MicroStation, Carlson, GPS, and ArcGIS.
Duties:
- Conduct surveys to establish property boundaries, topographic features, and other relevant data
- Use surveying equipment, including GPS devices, total stations, and levels, to collect accurate measurements
- Prepare and maintain survey records, including field notes, sketches, and digital files
- Analyze collected data using GIS (Geographic Information System) software to create detailed maps and reports
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure accurate survey results
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents related to land surveys
- Experience with digital photography
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Surveyor or similar role
- Bachelor's in history, historic preservation, architectural history, material culture, or other relevant field
- Prior experience gathering digital data GPS reading, photos, site plan, and building materials/details.
- Familiarity with drafting techniques and CAD software for creating survey plans
- Solid understanding of geometry and algebra for performing calculations
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
