Sumer Innovations is a new building design startup that operates on its newly invented online business platform and connects design professionals with the clients to provide superior services. Sumer Innovations' ultimate purpose is to create a sustainable construction industry through the collaboration of building design professionals and technological advancement.

We are creating an expanding network of independent engineers, architects, designers, and scientists, and we are looking for an experienced Commercial Interior Designer to join our network and provide designs for our clients.

Main responsibilities include meeting prospective clients and gathering details to prepare drawings and specifications, sketches and typical details/templates, and setting up budgets, proposals, and timelines. If you have hands-on experience with interior design software and are familiar with building processes, we’d like to meet you.

We are only looking for candidates who are passionate, innovative, entrepreneurial-spirited, and business-oriented. You will be an Independent Contractor working with us on a variety of exciting projects that fit your skills and qualifications, and that we market for you locally and nationally. You will be working on your own remotely, or you can create your team in our platform and manage your projects with our guided support.

What you’ll do:

• Meet prospective clients in your area to discuss their project needs
• Develop and provide drawings to existing and potential clients
• Ensure planning and design meet the client's requirements
• Prepare detailed drawings showing the appearance and interior design
• Direct staff in the development of project drawings
• Visit worksites to ensure work is being done according to architectural plans

Education and Experience:

• 2 years experience with restaurants, commercial storefronts, hotels, or the multi-family industry
• Managing project budgets, experience working closely with construction project managers on-site or remotely
• Strong FF&E design selection process
• Ability to create design concepts, renderings, space planning, floor plans, and elevations
• Proficiency in Revit and other interior design and rendering software
• You have or are working towards your NCIDQ
