Position Summary

Thee Demand Planner is responsible for supporting and implementing demand plans and processes and contributing to the S&OP process to support the successful growth and operation of Sukhi’s Gourmet Indian Food. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative and able to influence peers through compelling data insight presentations while fostering engagement cross functionally. Track forecast accuracy, measure results, identify risk / opportunities, and make appropriate strategic course correction recommendations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, maintain, and improve demand forecasts for Sukhi’s products, considering historical sales data, market trends, seasonality, and other relevant factors
• Build and develop demand planning tools to enhance our forecasting capabilities and help us better identify risks and opportunities
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, balancing the need for product availability with cost control and waste reduction
• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, production, logistics and procurement to gather input and align demand forecasts with the company's overall business strategy
• Analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and use this information to refine demand forecasts
• Develop strategies to mitigate the impact of demand variability, such as promotional events, seasonal fluctuations, or unexpected disruptions
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and inventory management and implement corrective actions when necessary
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Communicate demand forecasts and related information effectively to internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• This individual should have exceptional skills with Excel, and should be able to leverage those skills to build demand forecasting tools and streamline activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or related field
• 5 years demand planning/forecasting, supply chain management or related role in the food industry

Required Skills, Knowledge or Abilities

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to resolve supply chain challenges
• Attention to detail is crucial in managing inventory levels accurately
• Proficient in Office with exceptional Excel skills, Experience with SAP a plus
• Strategic, critical thinker and solid change management skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with strong partnering and influencing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional presentations skills
