We are seeking and experienced Electrical Designer BIM Specialist for our Building and Facilities Electrical Group in either Douglassville or Philadelphia, PA. You will work on a wide variety of meaningful projects with engineering and design needs which will challenge you. Key Responsibilities include: Produce a set of electrical drawings, derived from the Revit model, including: Legend, Notes, Single Line Diagram, Panel Schedules, Electrical Site Plan, Lighting Plan, Power Plan, Communications Plan, Fire Alarm Plan, Panel Schedules, and related schedules, details and diagrams. Utilize electrical systems design tools within Revit to produce an electrical Revit model, for design collaboration with other disciplines. Use of circuiting within Revit to produce electrical panel schedules. Knowledge of Revit template files, families and family creation and modification. Perform Clash Detection to find and resolve any coordination issues between discipline models. Knowledge of Navisworks Manage preferred. Communicate with BIM counterparts throughout the duration of the project to coordinate the different design systems, relay information, and stay informed. Review and incorporate quality checking review comments. Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu preferred. Attend internal and client meetings as needed. Minimal travel to client offices. Some on-site surveying required. Required Experience: Associates Degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent experience. 5 years of relevant experience providing plan preparation and project deliverable drawings and files. Electrical systems for Buildings & Facilities type projects preferred. Experience utilizing electrical systems design tools within REVIT software (please be prepared to show samples). Experience using the following software’s preferred: Autocad, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of U.S. National CAD Standard. Ability to solve problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Desire to be a team player.
