Under general supervision of the department Director and according to established departmental and hospital guidelines, performs a variety of moderately complex clerical functions requiring excellent organizational and time management skills with strong knowledge of the department’s systems and operations.

• Minimum 3-5 years of Administrative Secretarial experience
• Excellent command of verbal and written English, with professional demeanor and appearance
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication skills (both written and verbal) in interacting with a variety of stakeholders across the care continuum
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently, effectively and professionally multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment
• Detail oriented self-starter with the ability to problem solve and prioritize to ensure established timelines and report requirements are adhered to
• Excellent interpersonal dynamic that fosters positive relationships across all areas of responsibility
• Strong computer skills including effective use of email, Outlook, Microsoft Office, Excel and presentation applications such as PowerPoint.

• Exposure to basic operations of applicable department and prior experience in a hospital setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Associate’s preferred but will consider high school graduate with solid business background
