Studio Playground is seeking Teaching Artists to join our team!

We are seeking teachers for after school programs across Rhode Island. This is a part-time seasonal position. The time commitment varies depending on the program. Most programs require availability for one consistent weekday during after school hours.

Compensation: $50 per hour
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; prior teaching experience

Studio Playground teaches classes for all ages based in clown and physical acting. Clown is a celebrated form of physical theatre that invites participants to play ferociously and explore laughter through movement, performance, and playful improvisation. We are dedicated to promoting access to arts education through our partner organizations and scholarship program. Studio Playground seeks to create an inclusive classroom environment which embraces the cultural values, gender identities, and neurodiversity of all students and teachers.

Upcoming programs for kids include classes on Saturdays and Sundays in Providence, after school classes with partners across Rhode Island, and our annual summer camp in Lincoln Woods State Park.

Upcoming classes for adults include Clown & Physical Acting on April 8 at Boston Center for the Arts. Our classes are for everyone: actors, movers, anyone with a desire to connect through laughter and playful improvisation. We encourage you to attend whether this is your first acting class or you are an experienced professional.
