The Role

We’re seeking a UX Researcher who is passionate about creating meaningful educational experiences and skilled in bridging the gap between physical products and digital platforms. You will play a pivotal role in understanding how educators and students interact with our products in diverse learning environments. Working closely with our UX Designer, Product Manager, and leveraging insights from Pendo, you'll gather and analyze user data to drive the development of intuitive, impactful educational solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research to understand the needs and behaviors of both educators and students in using our physical and digital products.
  • Employ a variety of research methods, including classroom observations, interviews, usability testing, and surveys, to gather insights across our physical and digital platforms.
  • Analyze and interpret user journey data and metrics collected through Pendo to pinpoint engagement trends, friction points, and successful usage patterns.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations, collaborating with design and product teams to integrate these into our product development cycle.
  • Develop and maintain user personas and journey maps that reflect the seamless integration of physical and digital learning experiences.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, providing a compelling narrative that drives empathetic, user-centered design decisions.
  • Advocate for the importance of UX research within the company, fostering a culture that values user feedback and data-driven design.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in UX research, ideally in an educational technology setting, with a portfolio that demonstrates expertise in both digital and physical product research.
  • Experience in analyzing user behavior data from in-app analytics tools, particularly Pendo.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a knack for turning complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both academic professionals and young learners.
  • Familiarity with the educational sector and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in designing educational environments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Passion for education and belief in the power of technology to transform learning.
