Media.com is hiring an experienced UX researcher to join our team ahead of the global rollout of our network. You will be responsible for helping define and drive the future of Media.com by coordinating user testing and making product refinement recommendations.

You will play a critical role in the evolution of the business by applying your strong UX knowledge and digital skills to creating seamless user experiences. You will have the opportunity build a team around you of like-minded UX specialists as the business scales.

You will identify what users need from our products by conducting research, working with cross-functional teams, and performing usability studies. These responsibilities also include inspiring change, delivering oral and written presentations, evaluating qualitative and quantitative data, and helping us understand what would make a user’s experience more intuitive, accessible, and seamless.

The role

The key duties include:

• Conduct user testing of platform features using latest tools and services.
• Conduct and evaluate quantitative and qualitative research.
• Use a diverse set of UX research tools.
• Perform market and ethnographic research.
• Prepare written and oral recommendations for management to evaluate and implement.
• Plan and implement user research strategies and methodologies.
• Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations.
• Ask questions, gather data, and analyze data.

Experience

• 5 years of UX research experience
• 2 years management experience
• Hands-on experience with at least 2 different user-testing tools in the past 12 months
• Ability to quickly and effectively evaluate and share research results
• Ability to perform all research-related tasks including research, planning, evaluating, and iteration
• Ability to formulate specific, answerable, and practical questions
• A strong desire for creative problem-solving with a positive attitude
• Excellent time-management skills

Work environment

Media.com is presently sourcing an office in Manhattan. Initially meet-ups will be in Manhattan a couple of times a week with the founder/CEO with regular Zoom calls. Once an office is found it will be a full time office-based role with some flexibility.

Remuneration

Negotiable.
