Sr. Engineering Manager, Payments & Fraud Technology (viagogo Inc., New York, NY)

Manage the allocation of work to engineering team members, including assigning projects and delegating workload to team members, prioritizing projects according to business goals, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget for Payments & Fraud software within the organization. Mentor and train junior team members on business objectives and monitor work progress. Oversee product development including managing software engineering teams and projects responsible for the Payments & Fraud software within the organization. Manage software engineering teams to deliver projects on time and on budget. Oversee performance and compensation reviews, including conducting regular performance reviews for team members, participating in compensation determinations, and overseeing promotions and leave authorizations. Establish product development roadmaps, including guiding the design of dynamic payment routing and recycling systems on different payment gateways, as well as integrating new fulfillment methods around the globe and third-party supplier integrations for events and fulfillment. Design and build dynamic payment routing and recycling system on different payment gateways. Integrate various methods of payments and payment providers to support users around the globe. Introduce new payment features and products on the website. Design and build safe and accurate fraud prevention systems. Ensure the proper execution of procedures, monitor outcomes, and demonstrate support for company’s strategic goals through flexibility and the appropriate flow of information up and down the chain of authority. Manage three different tech teams (Pay-Ins, Pay-Outs and Fraud) and manage all payment operations, integrations, building robust pay-in and pay-out systems, compliance, fraud checks and automations of all payment operations. Oversee the seller pipeline, seller payout experience, and calculations of seller obligations. Use strong communication skills including written and verbal to provide leadership, support, and ongoing guidance to personnel under assigned direction. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to viagogo Inc. at 3 World Trade Center – 175 Greenwich Street, 59th Floor, New York, NY 10007. Salary: $300,000 - $400,000 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of professional experience as Engineering Manager, SW Development Director, Team Lead, or other occupation/position/job title involving engineering management.

Must also have experience with the following special skills: 5 years of professional experience creating complex payments and fraud solutions and communicating results with technical team members; 5 years of professional experience in designing and developing robust, mission-critical, distributed systems using multiple general-purpose programming languages (including C#, JavaScript) and maintaining data consistency in MS SQL Databases; 5 years of professional experience managing engineering teams on producing payments and fraud technology software; and 4 years of professional experience in payments & fraud industry internationally, working with the differences between requirements and compliance rules of payments & fraud solutions around the world.
