Lab Operator

We love it when our products deliver a seamless and accurate scanning experience, and so do our customers. We’re looking for a talented, driven, creative, personable, technically savvy Lab Operator who can work out of our Boulder, CO research and development office to help us collect data and swap components to improve sensor accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Working in the Boulder office, capture data using our state-of-the-art 3D sensors
• Assist in sensor development by carefully executing experiments designed by our R&D Engineers
• Perform sensor calibration using an automated robot arm
• Assist in sensor troubleshooting and in the verification of software releases
• Build prototype sensors, replace batteries and test hardware

Requirements:

• Fluency in English in both verbal and written communication
• Ability to multitask and prioritize when there are multiple tasks
• Ability to use basic functions of spreadsheets to log data
• Ability to lift 50 lbs of weight
• Ability to stand and walk slowly, for up to 1 hour, while collecting data
• Ability to work in our office in downtown Boulder
• Attention to detail, particularly with documentation of lab results
• Willingness to work collaboratively with a global team of engineers
• Completed high school education

Pluses:

• Experience with soldering at the PCB level removing and adding components
• Experience with Apple iOS devices (iPads, iPhones)
• Experience with cameras used for 3D scanning, SLAM and/or computer vision applications
• Experience operating Class III lasers and electronic benchtop equipment

Location:

This position is based in our US headquarters, located in downtown Boulder, CO.

Salary & Hours:

This 20 hour per week part-time position is based in our Boulder, CO office with the compensation rate of $20/hr, based on experience and skill, commensurate with market rates. (Ability to flex to full-time, as needed, is a plus.) The application window will close June 1, 2024 or as soon as a candidate is hired.
