StretchLab - Central Virginia is Hiring a Lead Fitness Instructor Near Williamsburg, VA

StretchLab is seeking an experienced health/fitness professional with leadership aspirations to lead our team of stretching therapists, or Flexologists™. StretchLab is seeking personal trainers, massage therapists, and dance/yoga/pilates instructors to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity to propel your fitness career in a new modality that is taking the fitness industry by storm.

Your goal is to be the “right hand” person to your Fitness Sales Manager. Your Fitness Sales Manager retains general operational oversight of the studio. Below are the key areas that you need to influence and execute in your role. You will receive training and guidance into these sections.

Compensation & Benefits:

No need to prepare a routine, music, etc., just show up and provide phenomenal stretches!
30-40 hours/week
Flexible schedule, Monday-Sunday
Some work can be done remotely
Paid for training hours and certification course
Competitive pay with bonus incentive pay

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions. Including but not limited to:
Encourage and motivate clients throughout stretch sessions
Build StretchLab membership and retain current clientele
Ensure safety of clients in regards to proper stretch techniques and enforce StretchLab policies and safety rules
Handle member concerns when applicable
Field Intro sessions with prospective members
Maintain strong social media presence to client membership and retention
Clean and maintain stretch benches and equipment

Leadership and Management responsibilities

New Flexologist Onboarding
Ongoing Quality Control (1:1 coaching with employees) – conversion and member retention focus
Flex Conversion <50% - 1:1 monthly role play
Member Retention – review member utilization per flex
Create Flexologist weekly schedule and maintain time off requests
Monthly Team Meeting - Lead Flex is training flex staff
Continuing Education – stretching topics
Sales role playing

Qualifications:

Love of boutique fitness environment– passion for stretching, mobility and flexibility
Experience working in a fitness/health environment where you provide hands-on training with clients
Fitness certification required or Undergraduate in above referenced discipline
Ability to create a positive environment that welcomes all people
Fantastic communication skills and exudes empathy
Love connecting with people and have passion for helping them achieve goals
Have a professional work ethic, be reliable and adhere to our attendance policies
Available to go through Flexologist Training Program, which includes 20 hours of online tutorials and 2 days of in-person/hands-on training
Communicates effectively with team members and other members of leadership
Exhibits empathy and understanding and able to develop rapport with clients and tea members
Foundational understanding leadership and team development
Ability to critically think and problem solve (biomechanics and leadership)
