Title: Consumer Loan Processor (TEMPORARY)Reports to: Consumer Loan Processing SupervisorSupervises: NoneStatus: Non-ExemptObjectiveThe Consumer Loan Processor is responsible for providing the diligence required to complete the process for consumer loans.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsures accuracy for all consumer loans by auditing file, preparing loan checklists, ensuring system set-up is accurate, verifying all required information is collected for specific loan type, and meeting stipulations by reviewing attached documentationPrepares loan documents for closing via electronic system for e-sign documents, office documents and mailed documentsEnsures identity authentication is properly requested and completed for e-sign documentsProcesses and disburses consumer loans by verifying signatures and required documents are complete and correct, archiving signed documents, mailing loan proceeds checks and member communication, process balance credit card limit increases and balance transfers, and disburses loan to core systemOpens membership accounts and adheres to membership requirements based on the Credit Union's policies and proceduresAssists with research and resolution of any consumer loan related issuesCommunicates with KEMBA associates, members, and dealerships as needed in day-to-day operations of the departmentProvides exceptional member care by having good time management skills and accurate execution of job dutiesStrives to meet all goals established for this positionPerforms all duties in a manner that is fully compliant with industry applicable regulations as well as KEMBA policy and proceduresDevelops an understanding of Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, policies, and operational proceduresOn a self-direct basis, continues to improve individual level of competency through training and certification on established educational programs.Relates to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions:Gets along with coworkers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremesPerforms work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading, or speaking with othersResponds appropriately to criticism from a supervisorPerforms other duties as required by managementRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent education and experience1 Year related experience in a financial institutionKnowledge of title work and lien filingsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailValues a high degree of accuracy and speedProfessional demeanorEffective verbal and written communication skillsAdapts to quick changes in pace or workloadAbility to work well independently, or as part of a teamAssertive problem-solving skillsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
