The Joliet Job Corps Center, operated by Strategix Management, is a federally funded, residential vocational training program for socioeconomically disadvantaged youth aged 16-24, with over 120 locations across the U.S. (www.JobCorps.gov)

We are currently seeking a licensed and qualified Driver Education Instructor for our Joliet Job Corps Center located at 1101 Mills Rd. Joliet IL 60433.

Overview of Responsibilities:

Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel Driver Education instruction for Joliet Job Corps Students, designed to help each student meet the requirements to obtain a driver's license in the State of Illinois.

Provide and implement an instruction plan that provides for classroom instruction consisting of the approved textbook, the Illinois Driver's manual, audio visuals and other educational media in accordance with Illinois General Laws pertaining to Driver Education and Subcontractor curriculum guidelines.
Provide a curriculum of study based on the regulations and administrative procedures promulgated by the Subcontractor Driver Education program and the state of Illinois.
Provide classroom training that includes, but is not limited to, such topics as vehicle systems, driving in traffic, safety regulations and traffic laws.
Document and maintain student's permanent record, including date of entry, date of completion of classroom training and date learner's permit/driver's license was obtained, and provide a monthly status report of all students participating in the program.
