Shopify Plus Technical Lead/Engineering Manager

Hybrid in Boston-2x days a week

Our client, a prominent player in the fashion retail sector, is seeking a Technical Lead specializing in Shopify Plus to drive their digital transformation and platform migration from Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify Plus. This role is crucial in advancing their digital capabilities, ensuring optimal system performance, and leveraging technology for business growth.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the technical strategy and implementation of digital initiatives, overseeing the migration to Shopify Plus and ensuring a smooth transition.
• Design and deploy a scalable technology framework that supports company growth and aligns with evolving industry trends.
• Manage a team of Web/Shopify Developers, fostering their development and enhancing team productivity.
• Take ownership of the entire web stack, including integrations with new technology partners and developing reporting tools for the eCommerce team.
• Monitor technology performance metrics and compare against industry benchmarks for continuous improvement.

Who You Are:

• 5 years hands-on experience with Shopify Plus and a deep understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
• 5 years of experience in full-stack development, proficient in front-end and back-end languages, and skilled in API integration within the Shopify ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and expertise in database management, ETL processes, and report generation.
• Ability to develop strategic web development roadmaps aligned with business objectives, considering technical constraints and resource availability.
