The role of the window Installer is responsible for the installation of windows in residential homes and commercial buildings.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Loading and unloading of materials 
  • Install windows and insure proper operation 
  • Upon completion of installation, review the installation with the Customer to insure they are satisfied with the windows and installation provided. Have customer sign a “Final Acceptance” form that all work is done and to their satisfaction.
  • On residential jobs, collect the final payment form from the Customer for the window contract, if needed
  • Leave the Customer’s site as clean as or cleaner than it was when you arrived. If a multiple day job, put away tools and neatly stack materials each evening in such a manner as to minimize restriction of Customer’s use of the site and maintain pleasant appearance of the job site.

Required Skills 

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to analyze and solve problems as they arise. 
  • Must have excellent customer service skills. 
  • Read blueprints, engineered drawings, bill of materials, installation instructions, and production schedules 

Education / Certifications / Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Prior experience installing windows and doors, at least 2-5 years
  • Must have a valid driver's license with no moving violations or suspensions in the last 5 years.

Work Environment

This job requires the employee to load windows at the manufacturing plant and transport and unload and install them at the customer’s home. The employee works outside the customer’s home and is exposed to hot temperatures and noise from power tools.

This position is very active and requires driving, sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, carrying, lifting, and climbing and working on a ladder. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. This job requires the use of measuring devices, hammer and impact drills and step ladders.
