Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Backup to our Billing Specialist

• Billing of hardware/software charges on complete tickets/projects as well as any product that has been delivered. 
• Billing of labor.
• Billing of O365/Azure charges.
• Billing of Managed Services recurring revenue.

• Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions, relays to appropriate team member for updates in various systems.
• Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
• Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
• Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Finance Manager and other staff.
• Collaborates with the CSR's to reconcile accounts receivable and collections on a periodic (at least bimonthly) basis.
• Utilizes Autotask to manage client requests using Finance ticketing system.
• Manage user access, payments, and discrepancies using our online payment portal, Connect Booster.

• Performs other related duties as assigned. 
• Perform any additional job duties as requested by management to contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Required Skills and Abilities: 

• A working knowledge of basic accounting principles and how to achieve timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Understanding of revenue recognition principles and experience applying them in a service-oriented industry
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Enterprise in the areas described above. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• The ability to work independently.

Education and Experience:

• 4 years previous experience in accounting, or related field, required.
