Overview

We are looking for an experienced senior Software Architect to further our efforts in continuous improvement of Architecture capabilities for large-scale enterprise software development. As an Architect with a strong and diverse technical background, proven IT track record leadership and governance skills, you will see the “big picture”, establish efficient lines of communication, and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide multiple development teams. You will work closely with other Lead Architects, business stakeholders, and IT departments to provide processes and frameworks for the development of software systems that will result in high quality IT solutions.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with leadership, key stakeholders, and development teams to define enterprise architecture principles, standards, processes, guidelines, and blueprints
• Develop, enhance, and maintain reference architectures for various capabilities
• Translate business requirements into system capabilities, repeatable design strategies and patterns, such as reliability, scalability, maintainability, reuse
• Assure efficient integration of enterprise applications by specifying the use of tools, shared data and code resources, defining interfaces and data flows, monitoring progress
• Perform architecture and design reviews across the company, collect enterprise architecture performance metrics, assure continuous improvement
• Plan evolution for systems and technologies, oversee inventory and lifecycle of applications
• Define significant aspects of development such as technology selection, workflows, coding standards
• Use a proactive approach to address challenges
• Stay abreast with industry trends and best practices
• Actively help seeking ways to improve business processes and interactions

KEY SKILLS

• In-depth experience establishing guidelines and best practices for selecting, designing, developing information systems for large enterprises
• In-depth understanding of understanding of Event driven architectures, good knowledge of middleware technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Websphere MQ
• Experience building scalable systems using technologies like Azure, API Management, Serverless, Containers, modern CI/CD, Observability.
• Excellent skills in proactive communication, establishing collaboration, mentoring, providing positive influence
• Proven track record in designing large-scale software projects both on-prem and in the cloud
• Experience prioritising work for several concurrent projects
• Experience in software development using several language platforms such as Java, C , C#, Python, .Net Framework / Core
• Experience in evaluation and selection of processes, techniques, tools to ensure highest quality of software products. Practical guidance and participation in code quality analysis and in remediation / improvement plans
• Good working experience with Microservices, SOAP / REST / gRPC and similar
• Exposure to web development tools / frameworks such as React, Angular, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap
• Experience with SQL databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of the Financial industry
• TOGAF Certification preferred
• Bachelors or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management or equivalent

Hiring Salary Range $110,000-$145,000 per year (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.) Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan. This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
