Qualifications:

· Excellent analytical, computational and mathematical abilities

· Extremely organized and detail oriented

· Able to handle various amounts of volumes quickly and accurately

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Data entry skills

· Strong Microsoft Office Skills

· Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment/as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:

· Develops and maintains positive working relationships with vendors, customers and employees

· Prepares daily customer receipts, including depositing checks via remote bank deposit machine and completing daily Accounts Receivable worksheet

· Sends past due statements to customers, and makes contact with customers who have past due balances

· Downloads and matches bank transactions in QuickBooks

· Assists with Accounts Payable, including: pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal ID numbers and requesting W-9’s when necessary; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.

· Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

· Maintains historical records by scanning and electronically filing documents.

· Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

· Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

· Other tasks as requested

Experience:

· Degree in accounting and/or 1-2 years of experience in General Accounting functions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
