Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical wiring, surface mount technology, power tools, and mechanical knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Builds and/or modifies equipment in accordance to established print specifications.
- Repairs and/or modifies existing and new products in accordance with specifications and procedures.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Punctual and regular attendance is required.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
- Utilize calipers and other measuring tools for precise assembly.
- Perform electrical wiring tasks following established procedures.
- Operate power tools and hand tools for assembly tasks.
- Fabricate parts as needed.
- Understand and work with logic controllers.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Experience with calipers for accurate measuring devices.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical engineering drawings.
- Competence in using power tools for assembly tasks.
- Ability to communicate cross functionally.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Good math and measurement skills
- Ability to review projects both visually and in written format to identify errors.
- Knowledge of logic controllers is a plus
