Stoltzfus Meats is a local producer of high-quality meats. We are looking for a positive, service-oriented, and experienced applicant to join our team as a Fresh Meat Cutter at our New Castle Farmer's Market, located in New Castle, Delaware. Stoltzfus Meats maintains a drug-free workplace, and conducts pre-employment drug screening for all team members.

Qualifications:

• Age 18
• Fresh meat cutting experience is required; deli slicing is related but not the primary function of this position
• Ability to stand for long periods of time while twisting and moving
• Ability to work in a cooled environment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Speak, read, write, and understand English
• Driver's license preferred (to assist with transportation)

Responsibilities:

• Cutting all varieties and cuts of meat (beef, pork, oxtail), including manually with knives or using a band saw
• Detailed work including trimming fat, breaking down large pieces into steaks, loins, chops, etc
• Receiving deliveries and moving product to storage
• Keep working area neat and clean
• Assist with grinding meat, and patty/sausage/formed product production
• Assist with clerking (customer service and cashiering) responsibilities during times of high customer traffic or to meet hours requirements
• Following safety guidelines for food handling, personal hygiene, and operating equipment and tools
• Other duties as assigned

Scheduling:

• Part Time status with 30-40 hours per week, potential to be Full time (40 hours/ week)
• Tentative schedule (leaving from and returning to Intercourse, PA): Wednesdays 6 am - 2 pm (prep and production), Thursdays 6 am - 4:30 pm, Fridays & Saturdays start at 6 am and end sometime between 4 pm - 9:30 pm
• New Castle Farmer's Market operating hours: Thursday 9 am - 3 pm, Friday-Saturday 9 am - 8 pm
• Saturday availability/flexibility required
• Transportation is provided from the main office/plant location in Intercourse, PA
