The results help growers continue to meet the demands for food around the world. Currently, we are searching for a Regional Financial Controller to join our team!

Under the direction of the International Controller, the Regional Controller manages the production and analysis of financial statements for international subsidiaries. This position also participates in the budget creation and process for all subsidiaries.

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the budget, the forecasts and the actual financial figures.
  • Responsible for the controlling of the business lines (analysis and reporting) and the accounting/financial function related to the operation of SBGS business lines.
  • Ensure appropriate bid approval, validate the set-up and perform regular project review and deliver timely reliable set of indicators for performance tracking .
  • In close cooperation with Finance Support Function ensure that the business is conducted in accordance with regulations and in compliance with Group’s policies.
  • Pilot and follow the budget of the business lines Finance function.
  • World wide scope with a variety of governmental, legal, tax, customs, personnel and financial issues.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Management cycle, planning and reporting

  • Organize and produce efficient and timely management reporting, with relevant content, forward focus, in accordance with Group instructions .
  • Enhance focus on operating cash and drive operating cash flows forecasting
  • Communicate risks and opportunities, explanations of variances, and performance dashboards with key indicators pertinent to the business.
  • Prepare monthly reporting, quarterly reviews, annual budget, business plan, impairment testing in accordance with Group instructions

Business Support

  • Ensure appropriate bid approvals and contract reviews are performed to guarantee the overall quality of bid costing and margin (including tax), and to ensure financial risks on currency, client, and country of operation are addressed and mitigated.
  • Validate setup of new country business models, mindful of local in-country obligations (registration, customs, bonds) in conjunction with Tax, Treasury, Compliance and Legal.
  • Review ongoing projects to monitor financial performance, control costs, cash and follow up the action plans
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and ongoing financial advice all along the chain to maximize profitability and cash within risk tolerances.

Control and Compliance

  • Control and monitor revenues, costs and balance sheet accounts of the business lines (fixed assets and operating working capital); work closely with Hub Finance Director / Entity Finance Director to ensure account reconciliations are performed timely and assist in the relationship with auditors
  • Control operating cash flow generation by ensuring the proper balance sheet review especially for inventory and receivables; design and monitor cash action plan to improve operating cash generation performance.
  • When appropriated, provide timely accurate information (revenues, costs and provisions, bad debt accruals) to Finance Director for booking purpose that complies with accounting rules and with relevant documentation
  • Work with the Finance Support function to ensure business is conducted in accordance with regulations, and in compliance with Group policies on Ethics, Sarbanes-Oxley, Financial Security, Accounting rules and policies Debt Covenants; in close cooperation with the Finance Support Function, ensure the overall compliance system is effective and properly maintained in the business lines
  • Management and transverse projects
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the financial team of the and ensure adequate resources are in place to deliver support to Operations
  • Work with Finance Support Function to assist with the implementation of Finance related global projects in the Division against the project plan milestone and agreed targets [IT (Harmony / Power), legal restructuring]

Other Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly reporting, quarterly reviews, annual budget, business plans etc.
  • Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, submitted in accordance with Group guidelines and remain relevant over the time to run the business.
  • Ensure financial and economic dimensions are considered in the decision making process (over sales, purchasing, human resources, capital expenditures and assets management) all along the value chain creation.
  • Take all the necessary steps to protect/optimize the shareholders financial interests by implementing appropriate risk management strategies.
  • Guarantee the compliance of the Operations and Group’s policies are consistently applied .
  • Control the costs, monitor the operating cash and forecast operating cash flows .
  • Ensure processes and tools are efficient for the controllers to be focused on added value tasks
  • Ensure robust management of the Finance team with timely performance feedback


QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate in Accounting / Finance , preferably MBA or Master's in accounting or an ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW qualifications.
  • 12 years’ experience in controlling / finance role (industry).
  • Very good understanding of IFRS principles
