CompanyStokes Counseling Services is a private counseling practice located in Naugatuck, CT made up of licensed therapists who specialize in children and families. In addition to our work with children and families, we provide individual, family, and couples counseling to adults. We provide a strength-based, solution-focused approach to help alleviate unwanted symptoms and utilize a variety of modalities including solution-focused therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to increase positive change. In addition to our friendly and down-to-earth approach, we only employ therapists who are licensed to practice therapy in the State of Connecticut.

As a Clinical Supervisor at Stokes Counseling Services, you will assume a pivotal role in guiding and developing a team of therapists within a supportive and collaborative environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a diverse array of mental health programs, including individual, couples, family, and group therapy, making a positive impact across a broad spectrum of mental health needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct client care, delivering individual, couples, family, and group therapy to approximately 15-18 clients weekly.
• Supervise and mentor 7-10 provisionally licensed clinicians, ensuring their professional development and adherence to best practices.
• Conduct bi-annual reviews to assess progress and identify areas for growth within the clinical team.
• Facilitate monthly consultation meetings to encourage collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and skill development among the clinical team.
• Attend and actively contribute to monthly staff meetings, fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication.
• Meet with the Clinical Director weekly for supervision, addressing caseload management, professional development, and addressing any challenges.
• Provide supervision to provisionally licensed clinicians, ensuring the highest ethical and professional standards.
• Sign off on supervision hours and work hours, supporting therapists preparing for licensure exams.
• Orient new clinicians regarding supervision expectations upon hire.
• Ensure the prompt completion of intake and termination processes, maintaining accurate records and case files.

Qualifications:

• LCSW is licensed in the state of CT.
• Must be licensed to practice in CT and a resident of CT or one of the following states, NY, NJ, MA, or NC.
• Previous supervisory experience in a clinical setting, overseeing interns, clinicians, etc.
• At least 5 years of full-time experience in outpatient mental health counseling, preferably with mental health and substance use clients.
• Familiarity with DSM-5.
• On-call availability for clinical staff.
• Strong attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in a mental health field with clinical training.
• Completion of an accredited Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy program.
• 1 years of experience managing clinical staff preferred.

License and Certification:

•  LCSW License

Special Requirements:

• Willingness to travel between Stokes health centers or for large events a few times a year.
• Willingness to work evening hours and weekends if necessary.

• $70,000 - $75,000/Annually 

• Monday - Friday (8:30-4:30 or 9:00-5:00)
