Are you a people person who loves helping individuals meet fitness goals while having fun? This is the job for you!! We are looking for an experienced fitness intructor/personal trainer.

Requirement:

Personal training certification from a NCCA recognized institution

Details:

Part-time, at least 2 hours a week teaching. Open hours for training.
Tuesday/Thursday morning class required. Available to personal train Mondays & Wednesdays

JOB SUMMARY:

Instructor

Provide class instruction per training, ensuring safety of members and clients, appropriate music selection, and timely attendance at class.

Trainer

Responsible for developing and implementing a specialized exercise regimen for a client. Ensures the fitness program meets the needs of the client and may include elements such as physical fitness, nutrition, cardiovascular training, and weight training. Offers guidance and support to clients in order to achieve their goals. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the fitness field. Relies on experience, judgment, and creativity to plan and accomplish goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

HS diploma or GED required.
ACSM, ACE, NETA, NSCA, or approved National Certification or Bachelor of Science in Health Promotions, Exercise Physiology or related field required.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work with fitness impaired members.
Able to meet the performance standards as set by the accrediting bodies for the particular class taught.
Able to adapt class offering to accommodate special requirements unless doing so severely disrupts class expectations.
Current CPR card or completion of course within 30 days of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.
Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials.
Must have the physical capacity to perform the requirements of the class taught.
